The traditional settlement of Koutsounari is just 10 km from beautiful Ierapetra, at an altitude of 600 metres and just beneath the “little Meteora” of Crete.
These stone-built residences scattered around Koutsounari were built exclusively by Cretan builders using traditional, locally sourced materials. Some of the residences are clustered together to form a friendly traditional neighbourhood, while others are further up the hillside.
